[edit] Get an Account on Open Source Providers
Accounts are provided to any business that provides services and support based around Open Source.
[edit] Who should get an account?
Anybody who's business is helping others work with Open Source software.
[edit] What vetting is done?
We do minimal vetting of providers. Prove to us that providing Open Source support is a major part of your business, and we'll give you an account. If you advertise your open source services on your web site, we'll pretty much automatically grant you access. If you don't, be sure to explain in your message why we should consider you an Open Source provider.
Supporting commercial software doesn't disqualify you in any way, but we are looking for businesses who are willing to state publicly that Open Source is a key part of their business.
[edit] How is this site supported?
There is no charge to providers or customers for using this site. Currently the site is completely sponsored and hosted by Freelock Computing. In the future, the site may be supported by limited, appropriate advertising and/or donations.
[edit] How do I get an account?
Send us a message, giving us your email address and either your web site address or some other proof/explanation that you're an open source provider, and we'll set up an account for you.
[edit] What do I do next?
Once you have an account, visit the Help:Guidelines page to learn about our conventions, and what you should list on your page.
